What are some not too expensive makeup essentails?

I am looking for some not too expensive makeup essentails for teens to wear to school. What are some of the basics and the best brands? I am mostly looking for mascara and eyeliner. Thanks.What are some not too expensive makeup essentails?
Having just left school, I learnt to perfect the art of yes-i'm-wearing-makeup-but-I-don't-look-鈥?These are the essentials:





Eyeliner is a must. Simple because of the accentuating it gives the eyes. But beware, eyeliner that runs is not a good look. So try not to wear it if you have sports or anything like that.


I usually use MAC eyeliner, but since those are expensive, I would recommend Maybelline, L'oreal or even Avon. Now, try to keep the conventional black use to a minimum, instead opt for browns, golds and violets. It's a much fresher and less harsher look unless you're emo and thats the look you're going for.





For mascara, you can never go wrong with Max Factor. Always get waterproof mascara. You never know when you might burst into tears. Investing in an eyelash curler is also a good option.





Now, I know you said you were mostly interested in eyeliner and mascara but just as a side option, I highly recommend the Nivea Visage Young Be Beautiful tinted moisturiser. It's great as a base and it has SPF 15. However, it only comes in one shade, so if you're very pale it might not be that great. However, I would still advise in tinted moisturiser idea as it just smooths and covers all those teenage woes of pimples. Even if like me, you don't have any, it just provides a uniform coverage.





Also, blush. Find the right colour and you're good to go. Always sweep in a downward motion across the cheeks instead of the misconception of up and down. It just adds to the cuteness factor. Maybelline and Revlon usually do well in this department.
