Have you ever tried expensive makeup and then get hooked on it?

I received samples of some upscale creams, foundation, and eyeshadows from Sephora and just loved how great they made me look. Now I can't go back to the drug store brands I used to use because they seem so inferior. But I cant afford to continue to use the expensive stuff. Any suggestions?Have you ever tried expensive makeup and then get hooked on it?
Buy stuff after christmas sales etc, go to Ulta..they got the same great stuff but sometimes they go on sale and have coupon...B1G1F type thing. It will still cost you but it could cause you less.

My addiction: Smashbox make up, Lancome moisturizer, Bobbi Brown Liner and liner brush....they are so good.

Also spalook.com give you free sample everytime you buy...look for free samples or gift with purchase...you get more for less.Have you ever tried expensive makeup and then get hooked on it?
yes, i've been hooked.

but just look yourself in the mirror and say i'm pretty the way i am and i'm not going to waste money on makeup.

you just have to make yourself believe/really see that its natural beauty that counts... good luck--- you could try hypnosis
I prioritize what I want to spend my money on ... I like to spend money on moisturizers and foundations, so I cheap out on cleansers (gentle drugstore ones work great), scrubs, lipsticks, glosses and eyeliners.
Yes, I went to a Mary kay party and got hooked on it. I can only get it from a consultant.
I completely totaly know what you mean! I recently got a M.A.C foundation and i could never go back to the .. rubbish i was using before (although M.A.C prices arent utterly waky, they are for moi who doesn't have a job!) I would love to get more M.A.C shaddows and such, but i think the best idea is meet halfway and treat yourself now and again to the expencive stuff but mix it with other basics because some things are ok to just buy cheap!

Hope this helps :) x
There definately is a difference in the quality of make-up. When i got old enough to start using make-up my mother took me to the Clinique counter and had them do my make-up and show me how to use it. She bought me everything, foundation, eye shadow, mascara, etc. There is no comparison to drug store brands. I completely understand where you're coming from. The only thing I can suggest is to check around at different stores that may offer more samples if you don't have the money to spend on it.
yes I only wear MAC
Try the upper end of the Avon brands, like the Anew line. They're cheaper than the department store brands, but still premium quality, it's a good middle ground between price and quality. :) You've got nothing to lose, try some of them Ultimate line, use it for 2 weeks, and if you don't like it, return it. But you'll love it and won't want to return it. Use the Avon website to contact your local representative, make sure you're getting an experienced representative. :)
