Does anyone know where I can purchase good makeup brushes that aren't insanely expensive?

I have some pretty crappy makeup brushes at home which makes it pretty difficult for me to apply makeup on well and I have been searching for some good brushes that aren't over the top expensive. you should look for some at art supply stores.. i used to work at one and realized that we had tons of brushes for as low as 1.99 but made of the same natural or synthetic bristles as high-end ones, even some with kolinsky sable. watercolor brushes are best as they have the softest bristles; i use a watercolor filbert-shaped one for my foundation and a smaller one for concealer. i even use a big squirrel-hair brush for my powder--squirrel hair is seriously the softest in the world! sometimes i just find myself touching it because it's so adorably soft haha.





but if you're still looking for brushes designated just for makeup, check out target; they have these really inexpensive ones in blue packaging (forgot the name) with not-so-terrible quality.

and their brushes are super soft. most brushes i've used, isn't as soft as the brushes i got at coastalscents.. and plus the brushes are super cheap... and i've also got some brushes at an art supply store, and it works really good. since most of the brushes are goat hair. and they work just as good..(:
There is this company called Eyes Lips Face that is being bought out by Nordstroms. Everything- including brushes- costs a dollar each! They work really well, and are pretty cheap! I have every type of brush and I love them!

okay, anyways, to answer your question, i love essence of beauty brushes. they can be bought alone or in a kit at any drugstore. they work great, even as well as the proffesional ones!

omg they are AMAZING! coastal scents has so many awesome brushes for very cheap. If you want more information on these brushes, type in coastal scents brushes on youtube, and im sure there will be alot of great reviews:)
E.L.F. has a lot of brushes, however, some have gotten bad reviews. The eyeshadow brush is said to be amazing.
