Which it best: cheap makeup or expensive makeup?

i don't know the difference between cheap makeup or expensive makeup, they do praticaally the same thing. Does the makeup last longer, what good quality about the makeup. i want to know why

i dunno why spend a fortune on expensive makeup when the cheap makeup does the same thing. Which it best: cheap makeup or expensive makeup?
It depends on which makeup you buy.

Not all makeup is created equally.

I have cheaper makeup by the drugstore brands that are better than expensive ones in Sephora, and some expensive brands from Sephora that are better than drugstore.

It depends on you.

But I do agree, you can find pretty much every type of makeup from less expensive brands that do the same as the expensive brands.

Except I will not buy wet n' wild or NYC. It really is cheap crap. Maybelline, Physicians Formula, Loreal, and I buy makeup for my face from everydayminerals.com.

I do by diorshow mascara though because it's amazing (: and MAC seems to have really great pigment in the eyeshadow and stuff like that so I occasionally buy that and I love their eyeliner.

But I still agree that you don't NEED to spend more because you can still get good makeup for a lesser price tag. I also agree with peaceloverecyclepink which is why I buy MAC eyeliner and eyeshadow.Which it best: cheap makeup or expensive makeup?
I agree with pinkchk1231, ';Moisturizing your skin and using primers are the key to longer lasting makeup'; but personality i prefer expensive makeup as i cant be ***'d waking up every morning and putting everything on my face then 1 hour later its falling of terribly looking.. i do really notice the difference between cheap and expensive makeup, i have bought cheap eyeliner and it was just plain sh*t, smudging.. says it was waterproof it wasn't.., and then i bought a good name brand of makeup, MAC eyeliner which really does stay on longer. I wouldn't use primers etc unless it was for a night out, it takes alot of time to apply all that and alot of people dont need primer and foundation etc etc and just use powder and maybe it would be best to use an expensive powder makeup for staying power, i do like ';some'; cheaper powders from boots or superdrug but they dont stay that long and alot of little school girls will have the same sun orangey kissed glow since its cheap and there gonna buy it, but if you buy say mac's bronzing powder it looks more natural in colour, i also think it depends on your skin type as well, if you have oily skin you need to put more into your makeup for staying power so i'd say its worth going to that little expense. I do like cheaper eye mascara from local beauty stores, but i wouldnt buy a barry M eye pencil as it doesnt stay long, you want to wear makeup and you want it to stay there. =P xx
well I would not buy the really cheap stuff from the grocery store!!!

But at the same time you don't have to buy Chanel makeup.

I would buy from trusted brands like Maybelline and Neutrogena.

The difference between ';cheaper'; makeup and really expensive makeup is that the more expensive makeup is higher pigmented so the colors are more bold and true to their color when you apply it.

So its up to you!
there is some makeup that just last longer. But personally I think its what you put on before the makeup that makes a difference. Moisturizing your skin and using primers are the key to longer lasting makeup
hmm... good question..
