Probably around 拢35 for a foundation. Yes, it was worth it as was fantastic and lasted a long time - much cheaper than buying less expensive foundation but more often.
It all depends really what the product is. Once you start trying things, you will get to know which products you can spend less on, and which you can spend more on. For example, with eyeshadows you can usually get away with cheaper brands (not too much cheaper otherwise there will be not much pigment and colour to it) as long as you use a primer underneath therefore can save money. Powders and foundations, to me, are always worth spending more on etc etc, the list could go on!
With beauty products, ie, moisturisers, just check out the ingredients and compare the two. What's the most expensive makeup item you've ever bought and was it worth it? how good was it?
I bought a foundation from MAC for 拢30 which was not very good and a YSL eyeliner from Rackhams for 拢17 which I still use and like. Ive gone back to my old foundation which cost a fraction of the price and I prefer it better. I find most cheap makeup is better than the expensive ones.
