Are expensive brands of makeup really better than cheaper brands?

Not necessarily. Drugstore products are getting better and better, and you need to pay attention to your budget and buy products that work for you, no matter who makes them. My favorite makeup lines all-around are Revlon, L'Oreal, Lancome and Estee Lauder. For skincare I use DHC, which is a Japanese company, and I wear Burt's Bees Radiance Day Cream as my moisturizer.

Generally, yes, although it depends.





I've found that drugstore mascara is awesome, much better than most of the stuff at the high-end stores (like Sephora)





However, when it comes to foundation, you should buy the expensive ones. They work quite well. Cheap ones probably won't work, especially if you already have bad skin.





Other things like eyeshadow and eyeliner are generally better if they are expensive, but you can find a few good ones that are cheap.





My favorite drugstore brand is Maybelline - really very good.

in my opinion, i think that most of the time the cheaper, the better. like, at wal-mart and k-mart most of cheap makeup works better and looks better. im not for sure what the best brand is, but you should get a color that is not to dark but not too light. you need a color that looks natural but, you can still see it!!! :) hope i helped!! :)

you can pay fifty bucks for a bottle of foundation from Dior or Chanel, but you go to walmart and pick up some wet n' wild foundation and pay 5 bucks for it, it might even work better for you.





it just depends on what you buy and how it works for YOUR skin.

pur is the best brand it can be found at ulta im not sure if they have it near you but if they do it can be found there and its about 25$ but totally worth it!!!!!!!!!
