I am a makeup artist for MAC and I have worked for many different lines and I have found that MAC is the best. We stand behind our product and if your aren't happy keep your receipt and bring it back. The money doesn't matter when you have Quality products. Just buy what you can and have family buy little pieces for Birthdays and Holidays. Also you can get great pieces during Holidays in gift sets so you can try products that cost more in full sizes. I do use drugstore cleansers but as for makeup I love MAC
