... and it looked Frankenstein horrible on you -- would you still wear it?If your partner bought you some expensive makeup...?
probably not... but i would probably pretend to wear it, cos he wouldn't be able to tell the difference...If your partner bought you some expensive makeup...?
haha woooow, so most girls would just NEVER communicate it to their guy, instead of just explaining...?
And they wonder why relationships fail.. ? Report Abuse
I don't do makeup.
I'd say, ';dear, I know you had the best intentions in the world, but this $hit makes me look like $hit.';
Then you can both laugh about it.
But I don't wear makeup, I'm a guy and would no more buy my GF make up then I would buy her a new dress. I have never bought a dress for a woman that she ever wore. The only thing I buy her to wear is underwear. For some reason, us men seem to get that right. (snicker)

LOL....not unless it was Halloween!
But if he is my partner, he would know my preference. I probably would have taken him with me once or twice so he would know.
Just buy Bobbi Brown makeup....NOT WHITNEY'S EX! Stay with neutral colors. You can't go wrong with that!
nope. i wouldnt lol
i wouldnt make it a point of telling them i dont like it.. but i still wouldnt wear it
I would use it, but sparingly. It would depend on what kind of makeup it was, what color, and whether it was for eyes or cheeks, lips, etc. Most likely I could make it work by blending it with another product that I already own.
no frickin way...trade it in for colours that look better and explain it to him afterwards...he'll understand
My boyfriend never buys me anything that I don't ask for specifically.
He knows that I'm picky.
makeup isnt ugly the way some ppl put it is ugly
i can always make any makeup look pretty
hah no.
I actually shoot for (Bride of) Frankenstein most of the time. That would be fine.
My husband goes for quality, not for price, he knows what I like. Haha. (He also himself knows the difference between crap and good stuff.)

Does anyone know of a good full coverage face makeup that's not so expensive?
I used Charles of the Ritz for years, and they have discontinued it.Does anyone know of a good full coverage face makeup that's not so expensive?
it's a little pricy for some people, but MAC full coverage is heavenly, so i hear.Does anyone know of a good full coverage face makeup that's not so expensive?

low cost %26amp; it works
I used clinique before - now I'm saving $$$$
Well, I've used this wonderful liquid foundation called ';wonder Finish'; by Mabeline. It's simply amazing, and at Rite Aid, it's only 3-5 bucks.
I have lots of pores on my face and I've been wearing it lately and I've been getting many compliments like ';Wow, your face has cleared up SO much! what have you done to it?';
Well, I used wonder finish by Mabeline

Bare minerals foundation works wonders for your face and it is good for your skin. It's not too pricy.
MAC Studio Fix foundation is perfect! It goes on like a powder, but it has awesome coverage (great as an eyeshadow base, too!). They have many shades to choose from, too, so it's easy to get a seamless match. You control the coverage. It can be applied with a sponge (supplied in the compact) or fluffed on with a brush. I think it's around $19 (maybe low $20's), but it lasts a long time and it's worth it!

Expensive makeup shelf life?
How long should one keep liquid foundation?
How about nail polish?Expensive makeup shelf life?
liquid-6-8 months
nail-12-14 monthsExpensive makeup shelf life?
I've noticed after about 4 months foundation mine ( a $45 bottle that is used everyday) just isn't the same. It doesnt settle the same on the skin and can turn into a bad makeup day. It also depends on whether you use your fingers or a cotton ball. If you use your fingers the make-up goes on better but the oils and bacteria on your fingers get in the foundation and change its consistency. This makes it turn into a bad make-up day sooner.
Nail polish can last forever. when it starts to clump you can just add a little remover to loosen it up. but you should consider the bacteria factor. I wouldn't recommend more than a year but it also depends on how frequently its used. I go through mine about three times a year and toss out the old.
It depends on how you apply it. If you use your fingers and your fingers coming in contact with the product in the bottle 6-8 months. If you are using a q-tip to get the product from your bottle and then applying it with a make up brush or sponge 8-12 months. You actually should never put your fingers in the bottle or dab it on your fingers when applying because the oils from your hands change the complex ( shade darkens over time and contamination) occur. A q-tip is best just dip it and dot on your forehead, cheeks and chin and blend. Nail polish until it seperates.
Liquid foundation - until it separates or smells bad.
Nail polish - until it thickens to the point of being unusable.
If you look at the back of any make-up product there should be a picture of a small pot with a number next to it that tells you how many months it shold last for
Liquid foundation 1-2 yrs (unless it smells funky)
Nail polish 1 year
Liquid Foundation - 6 months
Nail Polish - 12 to 14 months
Liquid foundation, I would say no more then 8 months.
Nail polish, if kept at rrom temp., no more then a year.
most of the expensive makeup can be use up to 2 years. the nail polish is about the same
never, because natural beauty is true beauty.

Organic and inexpensive do not go together. A good organic make-up will cost a bit more than $20. Try more like $35+.

Why are makeup brushes so expensive?
%26amp; which ones do you prefer? Why are makeup brushes so expensive?
Brushes are expensive for a few reasons, the first is that most high quality brushes are made from animal hair, so factor in the cost of feed, housing and proper care for that animal that helped make your brush. Secondly, regulations and animal rights groups have cracked down on the industry, so the process of collecting hair for a brush is not what it used to be. In most cases they aren't just chopping it off and making it into a brush. Sometimes they brush the animal so that the hairs fall out naturally. This is a long process considering how many strands are in a single brush. The glue, wood for the handle and the whole assembly process also factor in. A good brush will be made with a high quality glue and a strong tie, that will drive the cost up.
Cheap brushes are made of synthetic fibers and low quality adhesive so they tend to loose more strands and fall apart quicker.
My favorite brushes are from Smash box and Laura Merci er. I also like the Heavenly face brush by Bare Essentials. Why are makeup brushes so expensive?
Because of what they are made of and because they are made to last a long time. I think it is always good to invest in a really good brush that will last a long time and do the job right apposed to spending money buying cheap brushes over and over. Don't get me wrong, you can find some decent brushes at cheap prices.
EcoTools, their good quality, non-expensive, soft, eco friendly and you can get them at rite aid or Ulta. You can get the 5-piece set for $11.
supply and demand.
I think because it's animal hair ^-^

Do you think the TSA should reimburse people for throwing out their expensive lotions and makeup?
You know, for the people who haven't turned on a TV or read a newspaper in the last few days....Do you think the TSA should reimburse people for throwing out their expensive lotions and makeup?
From what I have been told by a baggage handler friend was ALL bags were to be checked. That is why there was such a back-log on flights.
Sadly crud happens and innocent people pay the price. Travel size items are cheap but costly. If you can mail the stuff to your self where ever you are headed if possible or just bring extra cash and buy it there.
Good luck :)Do you think the TSA should reimburse people for throwing out their expensive lotions and makeup?
They told you don't bring it, you brought it anyway, you pay, it'sthat simple.
I think they should pay for shipment to the person's address, at least for a few days, to give time for those who don't watch the news to catch on :).
Nope...
Infact the passengers should be thankful that the airline is making every effort to transport them ALIVE. What good is 'expensive' makeup or lotion if you are dead?
No. You should pay THEM for keeping you safe!
No.
It is your fault you are uninformed. You could put it in your check bag, right at the airport.
