Why is makeup so F-ing expensive??

Tell me about the most expensive makeup and about the stuff you can buy just like it for cheaper.Why is makeup so F-ing expensive??
i have bought 2 mac eyeshadows and 1 mac lipgloss.





i bought them because they are AMAZING. all the rest i get from walmart. you CAN have both and you DO get what you pay for.





i have tried many eyeshadows that don't even compare to the mac's a bought. i think that it was totally worth the money. and i also love my loreal and rimmel stuff too.Why is makeup so F-ing expensive??

Because women will pay for it. I don't wear a lot, so I just get the cheap 1-2.00 eyeshadows and blush. I look at some of the make up and just cringe at the prices, it's ridiculous.
i had loreal eyeshadow for 4 bucks and now i have estee lauder eyeshadow for 17.50








but it is worth it

These are products the girls in my family use.


They work pretty well for a cheap price.
Because some women, psychologically need these brands to feel better. They don't want to feel ';cheap'; because of drugstore brands. Buying expensive makeup products are their ';depressing shopping sprees';.

You don't have to pay an arm and a leg to look marvelous.


You can match any of these high end cosmetics with a more affordable product and get just as good if not better quality. Lancome and Loreal are the same. Revlon/Almay and Ultima are the same. You can find matches for MAC, Smashbox, etc. in any discount store. And if you aren't sure of your colors, Cover Girl's website has virtual models so you can play with the colors to match your complexion, eye and hair color. It also doesn't help that customers go into stores and test makeup that isn't meant to be tested. Those damaged products go back to the manufacturer, but if you think about it, if they are losing money, and they are going to raise the prices. Not only will it cost more, it is UNSANITARY! People don't realize when they test and put it back they run the risk of infections. If you want to know about a product, ASK, don't test.
Its not the makeup that's pricey its the brand your really paying for...plus the more they say its better, healthier or has sun protection will raise that price up too..... I have used Mac , Smashbox, Cargo, I found ID Minerals is worth it my skin feels good .I have went through very long days /falling asleep with it on without waking up with any breakouts.....THANK GOODNESS
bcuz most women cant live without it. shop around and u'll find some cheap stuff.
slap a Chanel label on a piece of dog poo and call it designer, someone will buy it and swear it's, like, the best thing EVER.
