Theres some more Primer at Sephora. =]]What's the best affordable makeup primer - the smashbox one is a bit expensive. Can anyone help?
UDPP is for eyelids.

as for smashbox, for the results hunny it is soo worth it, trust me.

Where is the best place to get good makeup that is not very expensive?

HERE ARE SOME GREAT SUGGESTIONS:

I consider myself to be great at shopping for and applying makeup. My makeup always looks great and I've gotten many compliments. What many people don't know is that I get all of it at GREAT prices.

Here are some of my tried and true suggestions:

www.eyeslipsface.com (everything's a dollar!! and it works great!)

www.avon.com (very high quality and constantly having sales)

Wet N' Wild cosmetics--available at Walmart, Target, K-mart, Shopko

NYC (New York Color)--also available at Walmart, Target, K-mart and Shopko.

Also, try www.walgreens.com. They have a brand called Tropez. It's great!

Good luck.Where is the best place to get good makeup that is not very expensive?
I agree with the ladies here. You have to either go to Sephora or Ulta. it's not cheap but you will be able to test items and get information from the consultants there. Once you know what you want then you can go to ebay and look up exactly what you need!!Where is the best place to get good makeup that is not very expensive?
Well...you could look on ebay. Just go to Sephora, it's worth the investment.
Believe it or not, Maybelline Cosmetics, sold at Target and most drugstores nationwide, works just as well as most of the expensive brands I have tried. Target has a very wide selection of different brands of makeup, and usually have most colors in stock. If you are african american, target also has a brand called Black Radiance, carrying foundation, concealers, and almost all types of makeup in colors suitable for darker skintones.
www.youravon.com/aalkifi

avon has the best makeup ever and body care and cheap prices

you should check it out and see for your self!!!!
Just like others I recommend Saphora for a variety of products and prices (higher end); however, if your definition of good makeup is not necessarily a high end makeup brand but a good quality and inexpensive brand I really suggest Loreal. Loreal is made by Lancome, which is a well known brand. I have used their mascara, lip gloss, and eye shadow and am very pleased with the quality.

I have to also add that I'm a sucker for designer brands from makeup to clothes, shoes, purses, etc. but in all honesty I am much happier with Loreal's Panoramic Curl $7 mascara than my YSL $30 that got from Nordstrom.

In department store brands I also recommend MAC, they're not cheap but still less expensive than some other brands. I don't like their Lipstick as it makes my lips dry. Clinique is another brand, but their colors are not as exciting as MAC's.
Good Makeup as in High End? You can try Ebay, or search the web~ Here's my friends store she sells makeup that is high end brands at a good price www.shopbearhugz.com Or check QVC they have some good deals on kits.
wal mart
Try Wal-Mart
I don't think the two are compatible but, then expensive is a relative term.

I have paid 30$ for mascara that is as effective as Maybelline's $4 mascara. Conversely, any product that covers your skin should be purchased according to the ingredients of the product and its effect on the vulnerable areas of your face.

Creams are better than lotions, thus more expensive but also longer lasting. Lotions contain alcohol, which is necessary to keep the lotion fluid but harsh on delicate skin.

Take care of your skin, spend what you must, but take care of your skin. It will tell all about you as you age. Skimp on nylons or manicures or lipstick or hair products but don't skimp on products for your skin. You will never regret themoney you spend on facial products.
well call me cheap but i go to wallgreens cause they have cheap makeup [$$wise] but it is really good quality..
I like it
Sephora has a great selection at all price ranges ;)

My grandma is looking for a good (not too expensive) makeup foundation..she is 79?

maybelline age rewind may be an option for her.My grandma is looking for a good (not too expensive) makeup foundation..she is 79?
i would opt for boots no7 stay perfect foundation. its not the cheapest its 拢14 but its a light feeling liquid foundation but very effective and not cakey. it glides on well and lasts all day.My grandma is looking for a good (not too expensive) makeup foundation..she is 79?
try victoria dont tell nobody
Try Avon.
No7 onee, its good.
if she likes lancome, try loreal, they're the same!

Has anyone found an inexpensive makeup foundation that works as well as more expensive brands?

Avon. Im a beauty advisor and I work with all types of makeup, but I would have to say Avon is one of the best, even better than most of the expensive ones.Has anyone found an inexpensive makeup foundation that works as well as more expensive brands?
I really like Maybelline's new line, Pure Makeup. It's $5 a tube and is mostly water, so it blends really well.Has anyone found an inexpensive makeup foundation that works as well as more expensive brands?
cover girl aqua smooth. costs about $7.50
It's more about the technique than the brand. I use Maybelline and get tons of compliments on my skin because I apply just a little bit with a damp sponge and blend it well to get a sheer porcelain effect.
Do I have news for you? Yep, Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com is the best mineral foundation there is. It is not even 1/5 of the price of Bare Escentuals or other mineral foundations. The performance is great and the minerals are so pure and have a healing effect. Forget about Chanel and Estee Lauder and Lancome and..., they cannot hold a candle to EM.
Clinique, works GREAT!!!
avon perfect wear! its great
Avon!!!
I like Mary Kay foundation. But I think the key to a smooth application is a GOOD foundation brush. Try SmashBox. it's $32 but last forever. And you can ALWAYS return it if something happens.
Avon - mousse foundation works perfectly and costs 8 bucks.
Try making youre own--

mix a small amount of loose face powder (found at the dollar store- $1.00) with some noxema cream or the generic version of noxema face cream (dollar store-$1.00). That's $2.00. It's also great for youre skin!
Cover Girl
I use Maybelline Age Rewind. I believe it is about $7 US.. I'm not sure though. The name may scare you but I';m only 18 and I swear by this. It goes on smooth, its lightweight and provides awesome coverage. And remember just because its more expensive doesn't mean its better. Half of high-end make up brands are made in the same plant as lesser ones.

How much do you spend on expensive makeup like chanel, dior mac clinique a month?

Is it hundreds and how do you get through all of it in a month? How much do you spend on expensive makeup like chanel, dior mac clinique a month?
Well i have to say i am a clinique and mac fan! clinique for their foundation, which lasts all day! and mac for the eye make up mainly eyeshadow. that's not to say i dont have a few Dior eye-shadows i think its three, but thing is i try to buy colours in a pack that has only yellows, or greens, or with browns or for blues, and lastly one with smoky. This means that when it comes to mac costing me a fortune, its not that expensive because it lasts me about 6 months, clinique i think is where most of my money goes to with about 拢50-拢60 pounds a month on foundation, blusher, concealer e.t.c i wish i had a choice, but honestly i dont.

i am black African so quite dark, and im a the stage in my life when pimples and spots are my new constant companion and with clinique being the only one that has the right shad, i have to spend..How much do you spend on expensive makeup like chanel, dior mac clinique a month?
first off, i dont think you have to wear chanel to look fierce with your makeup.

the most expensive thing i use is my foundation - which is fifteen bucks per - not extremely horrible, but it still bothers me when i buy it.

i still have makeup i had back before christmas. =P

but i do have to buy black stick liner every month or so - which is like eight bucks for the good stuff.

so, on average, i spend twenty bucks per month on the basics - but that doesnt count the times when i go to the store and pic up random shades of eyeshadow. =P
I've spent money on a Bare Minerals starter kit, and I used to use some Clinique. But I am cheap, and that is why I love mark. Affordable products that compare to department store cosmetics. All of their makeup starts at just $4 and the most expensive item is only $18.

It makes it easy to experiment and have fun, because they are so affordable.

For more info: www.mymarkstore.com/dpupo
I only have on product I use thats expensive and its Clinique powder.....I buy it once it runs out, so about every 4-6 months and it costs $26.00...which isn't to bad.....everything else I use tends to be drugstore, once I have a steady job thats when I'll purchase more high end makeup.
Never bought any of those brands for makeup - too pricey for moi. Usually buy No.7, Max Factor, Maybelline, Rimmel, 17 - not because of brand, but because the shade/colour is what I want at that time - then if I get fed up with it it's no big deal.
i wear urban decay eyeshadow, bare minerals base (concealer, foundation) NARS blush, and Diorshow eyliner, and too-faced mascara. If i were to buy all of my products at once, its around $500.
Well I'm assuming it is hundreds because i went one , bought 5 things and it was about $120 , but so totally worth it because everything lasts long and high quality
I won't buy expensive stuff cos I can't afford it. I buy Avon and Max factor or Rimmel, and I don't buy a lot cos I don't wear it much.
not a penny. i dont wear make up, unless on special occasions, then its only mascara and lip gloss which i borrow form my sis!
Nothing. I never wear make-up.
to be honest you wal-mart makeup works just as good, if not better.
Didn't you ask this question earlier?
Zilch
i dont wear make up .
  • microsoft
  • Expensive makeup?

Is it really worth the price? (mac, bareminerals, sephora stuff)

Or should I stick with the drugstore? (covergirl, maybeline, revlon)

And if it is worth it, why?Expensive makeup?
It's up to you if it's really ';worth'; it or not. You know how much money you have and what your other priorities are. I think it depends on the type of makeup, but generally speaking, more expensive makeup feels better, if better for your skin, stays on longer, and goes on easier. It usually has more pigments which means you use less, and it lasts longer in the bottle and on your face. here's my break down of worth it/vs not worth it for the expensive stuff

Foundation- expensive (I use Bare Minerals, MAC is good too)

Blush- moderate (I use Bare Minerals and the Body Shop)

Powder- moderate (I use Bare Minerals but translucent drugstore powder can do the job)

Eyeshadow- expensive (I use BM, body Shop, MAC, and Urban Decay primer)

MAC pigments are great for eyeshadow, they last FOREVER, and can be used for other things too like highlighter, blush, lipgloss, etc.

Mascara- drugstore (I use L'oreal telescopic, CG lash exact, and Max Factor Volume Couture)

Lip stick/ gloss- drugstore unless you want something dramatic like a matte red lip with staying power

Eyeliner- everyday use drugstore, I use expensive for special occasions (MAC fluidline, or BM liner shadow)

Brushes- Invest in these, they are great tools! MAC and BM make great brushesExpensive makeup?
Good does not have to be overly expensive.

I use LAminerals and it is formulated better than bare minerals or Loreal and less expensive and more of it in the jar!

Plus...theres No talc or bismuth in it and they add good expensive ingredients that the other dont...so go figure. I guess its becuz the other ';well known'; brands spend major bank on advertising and infomercials and crap like that.

I hate drugstore brands of foundations, never again.
I use Bee-Luscious and I believe it is very much worth the extra money. I don't believe in throwing my money away on cheap fillers. If I am going to buy something, I would rather spend a little more and get my moneys worth.

So my advice is NO do not stick with the drugstore brands.

One side note. Makeup like Bare Minerals, although not considered a drugstore brand, still uses cheap fillers such as bismuth. READ the label and DO NOT waste your money on product that use fillers, especially your foundation, such as talc or bismuth (in any form).

BTW: You was right the first time! Revlon is a cheap drugstore brand.

If you would like to try Bee-Luscious and be as amazed by the results as I. Then just do a Google search for Bee-Luscious Cosmetics.

Good Luck! I hope this helps you in your quest for the perfect makeup!
I like the expensive kind better because they are better for your skin. If it's cheap, the quality might be cheap. But I highly recomend Estee Lauder.
certain brands are more expensive because of what they put in there and overall quality of the product

bareminerals works really well and for fondation i would splurdge and if you wear a certain color of eye shadow everyday i would spurldge as well but if you like to change up your look, maybeline shadows and liners work just as well
I use a mixture of both... I don't buy products according to brands, I buy according to what suits me best %26amp; if its MAC I'll buy it, if it's Covergirl I'll buy that. Don't get sucked into buying according to brands. Buy what suits you - that's the whole idea!!
you should get some of each.....use sephora, mac, bobby brown for when you go out, use covergirl for hanaging out during the day
    Mixture of both.

Maybelline is a great brand. They have nice foundation and mascara

For eyeshadow, I go to Mac because their shadows stay on long for me and I like bold colors, which they have a great range of.

Sephora brand makeup usually isn't expensive.

I got sephora brand eyeliner for $4, which is cheaper than Loreal eyeliner. And I actually like the quality of the Sephora one more. I also got some great powder for around $14, and scored on some $4 foundation during after christmas sales! :)
minergirlz u should use mineralgirlz they have afordable prices i use it my mom sells it its the best
Yes, there is a huge difference between the more expensive makeup and the less expensive one, especially when you are using the face powder, concealer or a foundation. Cheap makeup can be really bad for your skin in the long run. You should always go to the professional makeup artist when first starting of with choosing the right shade etc. If you haven't already, I suggest you go to your nearest mall, find anyone working at the Mac,Lancome, Clinic etc counter and ask them to help you which shade works for you best. That way, you can never go wrong with which make up products to buy.

I think, as far as the lipstick, lip gloss and eye shadows are concerned you don't necessarily have to worry about buying the more expensive one.But go talk to your nearest makeup artist and find out what works for you. And remember never sleep with you makeup on,always cleanse your skin and moisturize it before applying any make up for best results. Have fun.

    Is mac makeup expensive?

i was wondering is mac makeup expensive ? cause im getting it or planning to and want to know. someone w/ experience please.

whats your favorite item there? Is mac makeup expensive?
Generally, MAC is pretty expensive but its really good quality makeup and in most cases really looks good on people, especially if you have not amazing skin it wont bring out breakouts of acne etc, i would say try a few things out and see how it works for you, because not everybody is the same

Just a tip, if your into lipsticks, theirs are amazing! Is mac makeup expensive?
It depends on what you consider expensive. I don't consider it a lot of money, but I'm comfortable spending a lot on makeup and products. If you want a general idea of their prices you can go to their website here: www.maccosmetics.com

My favorite Mac products are the eye pigments. Definently check them out. They're long lasting and there's one in every color you can think of.

They're lip products are also pretty nice as well as there brushes. = )
No it's not expensive to me because it has great quality and last for a long time. My favorite item is the lipglass and there eyeshadow, cause it last all day. You should get like $50 and call and get an appointment and get a consultation and they will show you how to put the make up on and test and see what goes with your skin tone. and its so fun!
Their foundations run between $26-$30. I used the studio fix, it was quite nice.

Their eye shadows are about 15 dollars. I like them, but found that a good drugstore brand was comparable. The exception to that is the paint pots. Really nice and a good range of shades. I think they are worth the money.

As for lip gloss, I can't stand how sticky Lipglass is. The colors are fantastic, but getting my hair trapped is a negative. I prefer Fresh, Tarte or Nars. Expensive, but not sticky.
Hey (: I used to use mac make-up but now I use hottopic, anyway, their makeup is super expensive. I tried to get like a 2 oz thing of eyeshadow and it was $14.00!

They have these stick on immediate eyeshadows that I LOVE!!!
    these are like average prices.

    eye shadows 15

    mascaras 12

    blush 17

    foundation/powders 25

    lip stick/lip gloss 14
Yes it is expensive but it is worth the price. It is very high-quality compared to other brands. I like the Lipglass.
    yes it is a bit.

and they usually have wild colors.

not many regular people use it mainly

    makeup artists.
the eyeshadows are quite nice also the mascara eyeshadows are around 15 or 20.

take a look at their website .
    its expensive

a bottle of foundation can be around 60 bucks
    yes.

    in ways.

it depends on what you gett.
their lipgloss and the price kindof

    skin cream
